Teaming up after the previous Olympic games of 2008, both having been individually successful and renowned before, their journey began. With having won the 470 World Championships Sailing over two consecutive years they set their goals on the Olympic gold in 2012.
Westerhof combines her sailing career with her professional career as an airline pilot, while Berkhout is dedicated to the future of the sport, working with children around the world to inspire them to take up sailing.
